Hello everyone, I have a 01 340 dancer with a flush mounted Raymarine 210 VHF radio. Pastures the mic connection to the radio cracked and it will not stay in place. I either need to repair or replace it. I can't seam to find parts for it anywhere. If I can't repair it, does anyone know what I can install in it's place without making a big mess or spending $400.00? Mine also has the external speaker as well. I am still looking for parts for the 210 if anyone knows where to find them.

Thanks
Steve

I had the same issue with my Ray210 radio. The cord was broken and I could not find parts for it so I upgraded to the Garmin 100 VHF. With the new radio, it has the DSC function which is worth the cost of upgrade.

I sold my old 210 of $30 two years ago... The previous owner of my boat, replaced mine with a standard that has all the radio controls in the hand set. It has a built in hailer... I would recommend replacin your 210 with a more modern radio.

Thanks so much Rick. Wow...they are proud of their work...$175.00 plus $90.00 for bench testing. For $265.00 plus shipping I can buy a new unit. I just need to find something that would fit in the hole. I don't need anything great. I am on a small lake.

Thanks
Steve

That is what they want you to do is to buy a new rig since they are afraid of the liability issue of repairs. I seen that a few times. Being a HAM radio operator, the repairs are not that expensive, but they want to be sure it meets the specs it was sold at so if there was an issue, they can show their due diligence.
