Need help diagnosing prop drive shaft defect/issue on Zeus pod (450DA)

I found out yesterday that our boat will be ready to go around the 3rd - just in time for our first club cruise to Kingston on the 6th. I'm so excited!!

(If it wasn't for the holidays it would have been ready sooner.)

Happy holidays everyone!

Dredging up my old thread...

Just wanted to post an update - our boat has had the break-in gear lube drained and new gear lube replaced so we're good to go for another 200+ hours. No issues whatsoever with the new Zeus lowers (knock wood) and the boat is performing better in all situations than it was previously. Maybe it's just in our heads but it seems more stable when in rough water and in docking situations the joystick control is very responsive and precise. We're so happy with the solution for our vessel and have now planned a trip up North with another couple in our yacht club. We're going as far North as Dent Island which will be the furthest we've been. We'll explore Desolation Sound and the Gulf Islands before ending our trip in Roche Harbor.

Both my husband and I feel far more confident in the boat and it's performance and we're so relieved. We're also incredibly grateful for Mercury Marine's help - that can't be stated enough.

Happy cruising everyone!

Glad to hear all is well. Best of luck on your trip!!!

Thank you! I should also mention how grateful I am for the excellent advice that I received on this forum. I read back through my entire thread and remembering how each nugget of information fit into the overall puzzle/solution I'm realizing how important everyone's input was towards our positive outcome. I really hope that the forum continues to be a great resource for Sea Ray owners. I'm happy to be a sponsor and will continue to do so. I owe you all so much. :)
