We've got 3 Americans and 2 Germans. Have had a bunch of Japanese. All have been mostly good with a couple bad apples. I buy what I like.

Don’t include me. I have two Toyotas and Ford. The Toyotas have been solid. You guys have clearly never owned a Toyota product…. I switched from a dedicated GM guy due to poor quality and would never go back to a North American product again
I have a friend in Florida who always had Mopars and traded it for an Asian car.... He never pulled it in my driveway. Always parked in the street. He knew better than to even try to put it on my property. You guys have clearly never owned a Toyota product…. Got the golf on live. Fixing to watch the race later. I'll be sure to FF through the anthem.Watched NASCAR for years growing up and just got back into it again a couple years ago.
One more “performance” of the National Anthem like that disgraceful mockery and I may give it up again.

My last truck was a Ram 1500 Hemi. That thing was absolutely pathetic pulling a trailer. The only thing that engine was good for was sucking gas. I liked the truck. I hated the engine. I did my research and looked for the truck that had the most low end torque. (I don’t like pulling a trailer at 5500 rpm) I went with an F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost. What a difference! It pulls my 240 Sundancer like it’s not even there. It never turns over 2500 rpm and gets almost as good of gas mileage pulling my boat as my old Hemi got empty. I’m pretty impressed with my Ecoboost.I was a GM guy up until about 15 years ago and that was only cause a friend worked for Chrysler and he got me his employee choice price on a new Ram (2007). Been with Chrysler/Jeep/Ran ever since. Never had much trouble with either the GM's or the Chrysler products. Wife has a Subaru that we bought new in 2017. Now has 60,000 miles and been problem free also. Now Ford? Different story. I will never ever buy another. 4 trucks a Windstar mini van and 2 needed new engines by 50,000 miles and 1 by 70,000 miles. The engines/vehicles needing new engines were a 1990 F150 5.0, 1994 F250 460 and 1996 Windstar van 3.8. Had a 1992 F150 5.0 and a 1991 F250 351 that had no issues. Engine wasn't the only issue on the 1994 F250. Just about every system on it had issues at some point. Oh, forgot, the rear gear was ready to go out on the 1990 F150 also. Lash was set wrong from the factory but Ford refused to replace the gears so they re-set the lash on the worn out gears. Service advisor 'advised' getting rid of it before the warranty was up cause it wasn't gonna last much longer. Nothing but junk in my experience.
I have the same 3.5 EcoBoost and it pulls great. One thing I noticed is when I’m not pulling, going up and down hills, it doesn’t have to shift to a lower gear. Also the tow engine braking is nice.M

I don't know why Ram continues using the 5.7l. I have been going back and forth with F150 and Ram for years. They are on different refresh schedules so I could swap trucks every other year and get "new". Living in Florida both towed my 24' enclosed car trailer fine. When I headed to shows out of state for sure the 3.5l Ecoboost shined. I have the Powerboost now but not doing any trailer towing now.M

I saw yesterday that they can get flat towed into the pits and still get back into the race once repaired. What I don't like with the new gen is that they can't drive the car back to the pits with 4 flats after a spin. Do that and you might as well pack up because you'll be 3-5 laps down...
Also, the independent rear suspension looks like a weak spot. Minor hits into the wall are causing a lot of damage to the rear links. The old solid axle cars could take a good hit and still keep the wheels straight.
