Name on boat

Do you have to name your boat?

Right now I don't have a name on the boat. Don't really care to have a name on the boat. I boat on small inland lakes in michigan, but also in the great lakes.

does your wife or significant other have a name? why not your next best gal then? then there are the practical reasons...like VHF communications, USCG documentation, and personalized towels, coozies and t-shirts.

If you ask me it looks better gives your boat a personal touch,It's own identity :thumbsup:. I named mine private getaway cause thats were I like to go when it gets to crazy!:smt101To me a boat with out a name is just a boat, like a business without a sign is a sign of no business. That was one of the things I could not wait to do!!! also pays off if your lost and they are looking for you....:smt001
