My view right now

I'm on day 6 of my 19 day trip to the San Juan Islands, thought I would check in on CSR since we have great signal here. This is on the end of the NPS dock at Jones Island. It was perfect until the sailboat decided to drop the hook 30 yards off my stern, oh well. I think we're going for a hike around the island, it's about 3.5 miles around, and then it'll be cocktail hour.

Life is good, no issues with the boat or new dinghy/davit, thanks to all the info on this site. I'll try to catch a few more pics along the way.

Can't wait to start exploring the PNW! Been on the Nor Cal Delta and SF Bay for 30 years so time for a change of scenery. Enjoy your trip and keep the pics coming.

I need to start looking into renting a Bare boat for a couple of weeks to do some exploring. When that comes on the horizon, I’ll be in touch for sure. Years ago I visited a family friend in Anacortes who had a house right in a bluff overlooking deception pass and my uncle had a place on Bainbridge and We did a day trip to Port Townsend as I remember. This was all 35 plus years ago but I vowed that someday I would spend more time up there on the water.

We've only been to the San Juan's twice, but Jones Island is one of my favorites.

Same here on Jones Island being a favorite area. The SJ's are absolutely stunning and nicely sheltered from storms.

Are you going to run over to Victoria while you're up there?
