My boat is still a LEMON!!!!

When the Kohler shuts down do you get an error/fault code? Ours would quit after about 10 seconds. The code indicated an issue with something not directly related to the gen. Turned out to be the CO detector. Unplugged/plugged and "rebooted" the CO and the gen ran flawlessly. This happened several times. Now the gremlin seems gone and all is good. We are now replacing headliner, flooring and berth pieces because of the water leak. We had fuel sensor issues and replaced both of them. Drive trim indicator quit on the port side and was replaced. Also had to replace the seals in the trim tabs. Also had to replace water pressure sensors. Best of luck.

I just received an email from Sea Ray. The email simply said "case closed." I received a call some time back from Sea Ray and I was told they would look into my issues.
Bottom line - I had to pay $6200 for service and repairs. Needless to say I am not going to be the next poster child for Sea Ray.

My neighbor has a Carver he purchased at the same time I purchased my Sea Ray and they bend over backwards for him anytime something goes wrong. I guarantee he would not have to pay a bill like this.

How many hours have you put on this boat?

I'm wondering what was done on previous trips to MM for service. The coupler issue for example, did they remove drives, check alignment? Were adjustments necessary? Is it possible what they did last service resulted in what they had to do this time? Yes it is.

I don't know where the responsibility for your problems lie but just given the info you posted things don't seem right...it gives me a feeling that my mechanic and his helper Mr. Dolittle(really) have been maintaining your boat. Just last fall they got me again. Such a simple thing like loading the boat on the yard trailer and moving it to storage but they didn't raise the boat up high enough and drug my brand new props down the road. Luckily I was able to witness part of it, I had caught up to them from behind, horn blaring, and stopped them in the middle of the road....I was a mad sumbitch I'll tell you. If I wouldn't have been there they'd have told me that I must have hit something and damaged my props. We are at their mercy, if I ever find a real mechanic I'm going to treat him really, really good.
