My 1rst Tiki Bar Contribution

Actually it does...have you ever had one of their doughnuts? That said if the product is good...doesn't matter what you call it.
Have had way too many. They are good. Just like with Dunkin' Donuts, doesn't matter what they call it. The coffee is great, everytime.

I was born in Canada, but have been in the USA for 35 years. Dunkin is better than Horton's anytime. I'm sure that the PM sent all those Canada geese our way, just to ---- on us. However, our golf courses require that you have 15 clubs! If you know what I mean! Beer, I give you the edge. I was weaned on Molson, and also Blue. However the French Canadians will never surrender, although I stand up for the right to speak your language, but in a global way.

re: no civil war - does no one remember the '70's? when the Quebecois and english speaking folks were rioting/fighting/killing each other? Growing up 3 miles from the Quebec border, I lived through that, and no, it wasn't a formal civil war, but it got ugly and scary there for quite a few yrs!

There's a few other items in there that probably could be run through snopes.com. Anyhoo, that was fun.

Some fun and interesting facts about Canada vs. US... both country have striking similarities.
Incomes, percentage of population who live in urban communities
75% of Canadians live within 100 miles of US
Canadians save a larger percent of their earnings.
US divorce rate twice that of canada
Canada is the only country in the world that uses more energy per capita than US. (not sure if this is weather related or not)
Average household in us produces 1/5 more garbage
Canadian corporations retain about 7% of their country's GDP in profits. US... 2%

Canadians in general are very familiar with our politics.
Only 1 out of 10 Americans can name the current Canadian PM
Not many people know that Canada is our largest trading partner

Of course, there are some problems in Canada (Quebec.... heheh.... just joking), but it would be worth our time to get to know these northern folks a bit better. As far as voter turnout, we could also learn some things from Canada.

Two things I love about Canada, One is fishing, and the other is the great looking ladies of the evening in Winnipeg. Not necessarily in that order.
