I have been cruising the last two weeks and several times I had problems with the Sea Ray Navigator dropping out or not finding the radar. I am having it looked at this week and hopefully they will find the problem.

I am planning on installing a second chartplotter. I have not found one that is compatible with my radar (Maptech/Si-Tex). Does anyone know if I can interface this radar to a non-Maptech chartplotter?

I checked with Raymarine and their chartplotters require their radar. I need the redundant radar and don't want to go to the added expense of buying another array.

You may be able to get the radar to show up on another PC based setup, but it will not work on any off the shelf Multifunction units. Why not get a 2nd Maptech display? We can ship one right to you. You could pull the radar up on either display this way, or if one display totally crashed you could plug the radar into the second display.

If the techs can get the chartplotter and radar issues resolved on my current system then I might consider going with the i3. It is big bucks compared to the Raymarine E120 but I would have redundant radar.
