Muddauber, "Dirtdauber" Solutions

I'm sure your right, but you get the point, I think.

Skiing in Mich can't be much better than here in NC or WV. Maybe a little longer season and slighly better snow conditions but the vertical I would guess is roughly the same. Anyhow, thats exactly why I fly out Monday morn for a week of real skiing in Seamboat Springs

I was joking with you, you wrote 25,000 mi which would get you back to where you started.

Uplate;178599 Snow and Cold? Not interested. Constant Rain/Grey Skies was bad enough for me in PNW. I learned to Ski at Snoqualamie Pass. If I want to Ski said:
Rain and Gray skies? No WONDER! You lived on the WRONG side of the state! We get over 300 days of sunshine on the East side of the state and very little rain! Spokane gets a little more, but most of Eastern Washington only gets 7 - 11 inches of rain a year. Shhhh! Don't tell ANYBODY!!

I agree about the locations. We all like where we live or justify it one way or another. My wife wants to move somewhere warm when we retire. I'm going to miss her during the winter months wherever she goes!

I'm with you. Sugar Mountain is within a half day drive, and the airport is only 16 minutes away. Back when my knees could still take it, we went west to ski for a week every winter, and Steamboat was my alltime favorite -- with 100 slopes, there is always somewhere on that mountain with near perfect snow!

I've owned a boat in Fl for 11 years. I think I had Mud Daubers (sp?) once. No big woop.

So get a cruiser big enough to live aboard, and go south for the winter!

Great Idea! I'll get one big enough and send her down! I'll stay up here, but I'll still miss her! Actually, we've talked about the Great Circle and buying a boat in Hawaii and living aboard while touring the islands for a year or so. Sell the boat and head back to the mainland!

Both ACL's have been replaced and I look like one of Jerry's kids, but I still hit the slopes and beat most young punks (any one under 40!) down the hill. I just can't handle aerials anymore since the ACL's can't handle the landings! Bummer!

Well one thing I have used to keep rodents, and bugs away (and only during months in storage) is to take soem of yoru wifes old pantyhose and load them up with several pieces of mothballs. One day of airing out the boat and the smell is gone but no muddobbers, etc., etc. One problem tho. Can you deal with seeign yoru wifes hairly legs?

You could kill three birds with one stone per se if yoru's wife wears the pantyhose with the mothballs...
