Hi Everyone, First I would like to send out a huge "Thank You" to Scott Ferguson for all the time he has devoted to moderating CSR for what seems like a decade. Scott has asked to step down to devote his time to other things that need his attention. So please leave a note of thanks here to him if you would like.
And now we have big shoes to fill. If anybody is interested please send me an email to jim.maier@gmail.com
Once I get a list of people interested I'll start reviewing the posts and content you have provided as your resume. If I don't pick you, please don't get offended. I'll review on a first come first served basis, and once I find someone that seems to have the right online demeanor I'll sign them up. So I literally might not even get through all the applicants.
As a Thank You for being a moderator you get full access to the site for free, and you get discounts and sometimes even free stuff from BOE Marine. The job entails getting emails from the site when people report spam posts or problems. You'll have to delete those things, and move threads around to keep things organized. I would say it should just add a few minutes to your daily visits. You don't need to get into the politics of the site, I handle that stuff directly to help keep everyone pointed in the right direction. Thanks!!
