I searched the forums and did not see anything, hopefully this is not a redundant post. We love everything about our 320, with the exception of the mattress. We sleep on the boat at least one weekend night from May - Sept. and a more comfortable mattress would be great. I am open to any ideas people have.

I am also wondering if anyone has ordered the "Royal European Custom Sea Ray Pad" from MarineMax, and if they have, was it an improvement. According to them, it adds about 2 inches of padding.

I got a 4in memory foam pad from overstock.com. I like it alot but need to find a nice clean way to cut it to shape. $140. Much cheaper than stores. Suggestions?

I also bought memory foam from overstock last year. It made a huge difference in our comfort. I have heard an electric knife is the way to go but I used some large scissors and a utility knife. It did ok but for a real tight custom fit you may want to try the electric knife route.

Bed Bath And Beyond.......Big selection.....for the 310 get the full size 3" and trim the edges.very comfy.....

Hello ziggy87

Yacht Outfitters specializes in custom fitted bedding for cruisers and yachts. Feel free to contact us if you're interested in a mattress pad for your 320DA. Our 'super soft' mattress pad is a favorite to add a level of comfort to your existing mattress. You can select the thickness in 1" increments and the outer 'shell' is professional grade mattress ticking fabric.

We went with a memory foam from Walmart and cut it to fit the berth. I would think a memory pad and a custom fit mattress pad from Yacht Outfitters would be ideal!

Yes, it would. I have a 2" memory pad from Walmart that almost does the trick. A little thicker would be ideal! It's just a matter of $$$ versus comfort.

I will second the memory foam. I am using the FULL size 3" memory foam in the Aft Cabin and it made a huge difference. I only had to cut about an inch of width off to get it to fit.

I caught it on sale at Kohls for 60% off.

Got 6" memory foam to replace my original 6" 2-piece foam from WalMart. Used an electric knife to cut to shape - It's the right tool for the job! Just don't force it, let the knife do the cutting.

Looking forward to NOT slipping through the crack this season!

Same here...WORLD of difference! My only complaint is when you want to use the couch feature you have to move it around...And mine keeps slipping down after the nights rest. (I know...thats 2)

reg $250.00 price, we paid $150.00 after discounts....

I bit the bullet and got a Thempur pedic 9". Been sleeping a lot better. We stay on the boat 4-5 days a week.

did you have to trim ????

I bought a 4inch memory foam from Overstock. (King size) I bought the $149 dollar version that came with 2 pillows. I removed the existing padding from inside the mattress and used it as template to cut the memory foam to match. I then put the memory foam inside and chucked the original foam.

I then bought the $189 (denser) for my bed at home. In retrospect, I wish I purchased the denser version for the boat. The softer version is "OK", but when you climb around on it you can feel it bottoming out. The denser version would probably have been a better solution.

I cut the foam using a large kitchen knife.

So - for those who did the memory foam, did you replace the existing mattress with memory foam then use the existing cover over the foam? Or did you add foam on top of your existing mattress?

On a 320, does the 4 inch memory foam fit in the mattress cover?
