I have a Mercruiser 350 MPI on a 2007 260DA. Was coming into port last weekend and stalled as I entered no wake zone. Made it back to slip and thought nothing of it. This weekend she won’t start unless I give some gas in neutral and the she stalls again. Thinking it was IAC. Asked marina mechanic to replace IAC. Just got the call that risers and manifolds need replacement because there is water in the cylinders. Estimated parts are $4900 and waiting on labor estimate which I expect to be a few hours at $125/hr.
Is this price within range? How does water get in? Never dealt with this before?
Thanks for comments!
