Figured I'd do as the board suggested in sending out a message introducing myself. I joined this site about a year ago but when I did it didn't look like much was going on at the time, and then I got busy through work, etc...at any rate, I live in Louisville, KY and own a 1997 240DA.

I've been checking out the site a lot in the past couple of weeks for some reason...finding lots and LOTS of really good idea's, lots of valuable information seems to be shared here, so I'm jumping in!

What Engine/ O/D package do you have?

My DA has the 5.7 Liter with the Alpha-1 outdrive. It sure has done quite well for us, whether I've had six people in the boat or pulling tubers or whater, it never fails to get on plane. But it is a little slow to get on plane with six people in it, which is not the norm for us because it's usually just me, my wife and a small dog or two. I intend to post some pictures when I get a chance (to be read as "figure out how")...might even include one in my signature.

Incidentally what I think is kind of neat is my boat is a 1997 with the 5.7 Liter and my truck is also a 1997 Chevrolet with the 5.7 Liter.
