This is my first post and hope I'm in the right place. The swim platform on our 1986 Sea Ray 250 DA Sundancer was ripped off during a storm in February 2009. In March on a cold and rainy Friday night, my husband attempted to board the boat with out the platform. He slipped, hit his head on the prop and drowned. Divers recovered his body the next afternoon. They also located the platform and brought it up as well. I've posted pictures of it in my album.
I can't keep the boat with all that happened. In order to sell the boat, I need your input, please.
1. Can I have the platform replaced? If so, where and how?
2. Should I just sell the boat "as is" and let the next owner worry about it?
With boating season about to end, I need to make a decision soon.
