Lost at sea for 66 Days and survives.

I'm guessing that he did not have an EPIRB. If he had one and it was working he'd have been found in just a few hours.

But look at the bright side of not having one.....he got to spend a lot more time on the water!

Well isn't that what we all want?

Just kidding of course. I bet now he wishes he'd spent the few hundred bucks to buy one.

Exactly! Can't understand folk who don't have one. Heck, we hardly go out in the Gulf of Mexico but we have one. It should be mandatory IMHO. It would save the Coast Guard (and us tax payers) thousands of dollars doing SAR's.

Is it just me, or did that guy look to be in really good shape for a man lost at sea for 66 days?
No sunburn, and not much of a beard! Just sayin...

My immediate reaction was a bit skeptical when I saw him as well. Then there seemed to be too much other data to substantiate the story so I flip-flopped. A bit. Won't shock me if something came out to dispute the story.

If it's too good to be true it probably is.
After doing a bit of research this guy says he drank a pint of water a day for 66 days, that's 8 gallons in a container on an upturned boat. Plus the ability to catch rainwater, and bare handed fish catching, with a broken collar bone whilst clinging to his bible.
No sunburn or blisters, nights on the Atlantic must be fun on an upturned boat.
and he refused medical care.
Doesnt sound at all fishy to me

when somebody finds out the truth please post

I'm being a bit speculative here but I'm guessing he set sail and met his girlfriend somewhere out there on the big blue sea. They spend 64 days together living in the valley of lust before he got tired of her and bailed out (sorry about the pun) and went back home to mama.
