I updated page one with the roster. Please let me know if I omitted anyone or included someone who won't be there. I spoke with Paul by phone, who's whole household is sick right now, and got a verbal commitment. I told him we need to see him on here to make it official!!

I really appreciate the offer but it's really no problem! I am happy to do it. Let's not forget all of the travel and overnight expenses people are going to encounter. This is just my little way of helping make this event happen. I am really looking forward to seeing all of you guys again. Maybe we can make this an annual event to try and chase the winter blues away? Let's see how it goes!

Todd, I think the annual event is a great idea but your not paying for the food. It's a very generous offer but no one is going to let it happen, planning it and providing the venue is more than enough.

The way I look at it, the cook has to be there anyway. The stoves are all running anyway. It really comes down to the wholesale cost of the food, that's it. It's not that much. I don't mean to insult anyone or insinuate that they can't afford to pay just because they are buying monster yachts!:grin:

The line has been drawn!! Lol, okay Todd, your on but I don't fight fair! Your not insulting anyone or insinuating anything, I was just joking but I'm dead serious about paying, your staff is going to get one hell of a tip if you don't accept something for the food. That's all I'm going to say about it.

I'm with Russ and Larry on this. I'll be happy to participate but I'm not comfortable doing this on the house. It's not like you've invited 2-3 couples. I understand that you might feel strange taking money from your friends as the restaurant owner, but let's be reasonable here, there's just a lot of people coming. It's entirely up to you, but I don't think that it's fair to you letting your staff collect $2K-$3K in tips. I suggest we leave this unnecessary discussion alone and let us just come and have fun, and of course pay for it. If you wish to do something special, then just throw one of your house special dishes on the table and it'll be more than enough. Other than that I think it's a closed case.
