Larry, Russ and Ric: as soon as your votes are in we can close the poll.

Just a quick note for those who's voting for Champlins at Block, if you guys remember, last year we had a group of boats going to Block right after our Rendezvous at MYC. At the Block we stayed on mooring and it was great. I don't know what kind of plans rest of the group has this time, but we most likely do the same thing (MYC followed by Block to stay at mooring) to start our August vacation.

Last year we had discussion how staying on the mooring works for the group and I'll just tell you that from our experience from last year's event it was great. The mooring field is VERY close to shore. We were all almost with arms reach from each other. We had two boats on one mooring ball and others stayed on their own right next to each other. It was very nice to jump in the water and go for a swim anytime we wanted. We were hanging on the floats instead of sweating at the dock or using the pool. As I recall everyone loved it. It sure beats paying $40 per day vs. $5.50 p/f at the Champlins.

For those who don't have dingy there's FREE launch service that will shuttle you between your boat and the shore as you desire. Also, there's always a nice breeze so, running A/C is not necessary if you don't want to. I don't recall 100%, but we might have slept without A/C.

Alex,

3,2,5 please. If this thing starts at Block on the dock we will plan to move off to the moorings after the weekend. Otherwise I think we still plan on heading to Block after the weekend. We will bring some water toys and possibly the trampoline- that is if we can get some volunteers to help assemble and tear down! This thing is 18' in diameter and 52' long with the "launch log" and "walk log" attached. Although it does take a lot of room to transport so depending where we start this vacation will determine
wether we haul it out there or not.

Your vote is in, Russ.

Russ, this is excellent idea. You have mine and "mini me's" (AKA Danny) commitment to help assembling the stuff.

Russ,
If the schedule works out for me to be there at the same time I will also volunteer to do what ever you need on the assembly/breakdown. This I assume is accomplished with the aid of several adult beverages, yes?

Russ,

As Todd, stated, I'd be happy to help with whatever you need. I have to ask though - why are you bringing a trampoline? Is this so you have something to jump up and down on if another engine breaks??

Dale

Thanks, sounds like we have support! Dale, your a funny guy- I'm not sure what jumping up and down has to do with a bad motor but the trampoline is not for me and I assure you I do not want to see you jumping up and down either.....(Rod's housekeeper) need I spell it out further?? Besides, I have given up on those silly little gas motors and moved on ;-)

I forgot about Rod's housekeeper!!! Good thinking Russ!!

OK,OK,Ok... Sorry for the delay! :smt021

Our order is: 1,2,5 in preferred order! But we are fine really anywhere...

Russ, we can definitely help out too...

Depending where we end up I may bring our Jet Ski along as well, and yes I do share! (the jet ski, silly!!)

Great, all the votes are now in for the location. (Looks like MYC)

Now we can start voting on the date.

No one said anything negative about Aug 3rd.

Fixed! Fixed! We need a recount! Kidding, funny we ended up back where we started- well, it made the thread fun. Better start saving for MYC! Maybe if I sell Dale my bad motor I can make a few bucks
