So how was the weekend?
Spent it winterizing my buddies 320 , and installing my groco flush kits.:smt089
Hey Joe, it is a sad time for sure but I was talking about that last weekend that everyone was getting together.
FYI all - Todd is back after a few distractions and will be starting up the winter rendezvous thread shortly. I know Greg can't wait
Btw Joe, how was it installing the flush kits?
I think I am just about recovered from last years event.
Finally! Something good to talk about,
Russ the flush kits where simple to install and work like a charm!! I just hope the boat will be repaired in time for spring. I think I know what the main topic will be tat this years get together.

Has anyone heard from Steve (Cod) since the storm? He's on the water over near the devastation area. I am hoping he fared well. I will start the new thread this week. I just need to talk to my brother about using Schafer's. I believe Tommy's Place will be closed for a couple weeks in February for renovations and a new 20+ tap system installation!!:smt038
Any requests or comments (constructive that is) regarding the winter rendezvous are welcome!!
Hey Todd..... Thanks for the concern.. My family and boat are fine... Our house did not fair as well as we got about 2-3" of water inside. I feel guilty even complaining as we have friends who got 3' of water!. But the 2" is just enough to reek havoc on all the carpets, sheetrock, insulation, built-ins, appliances, etc etc etc. So needless to say we've been busy with the clean-up and repairs. I have to keep telling myself this to shall pass........... I have electric, heat and I'm able to take a hot shower for which I am greatful for.. Many people in Long Beach, the Rockaways aren't so fortunate and my heart goes out to those folks......... Truly heartbreaking.....Again, thanks for thinking of me.........BTW How are your carpentry skills?
I'm on the island as well and have access to all the tools you need to rebuild as well as being willing to help out anybody in need please let me know if you or anybody you know needs help. Ive been in the construction industry my whole life and have many friends from plumbers to electrions and sheetrock to tapers that are e willing to volunteer. Were just a phone call away 3476129655.
I'm glad to hear from you! That suck's about the house, sorry to hear it. I am glad your beautiful boat survived though! My carpentry skills are not "Professional Grade" but are servicable! If you need/want some help just let me know. I'd be happy to come down and give you and Chris a hand!! Seriously!
Todd, Xplicitlnck, thanks for the offers... Greatly appreciate that but I think I have it under control.... I'm expecting a boat load of cash from my flood insurance settlement (yea right....) so it wouldn't be right taking hand outs......
steve < i suck at carpentry also but am willing to go with Todd to your home admire the boat and drink beers,,, seriously. (kidding) my skills rule!!!
ps, glad your ok pal
Helping out a friend is never a handout. If I can help in any way ( including drinking your beers as Joe suggested) just say the word. Good luck with the insurance company!

Hey does anybody know how block island did. I've been hearing nothing but amazing things about the island and was really looking forward to heading out this summer...
Steve, so sorry to hear about the damage but like everyone else I am glad you and your family are ok. You know I am also only a phone call away- do you have any rum? I'm not much of a beer drinker ;-)
I don't think you have to worry about Block, I know that state beach washed out but I think overall the island is fine- I hope! It is my favorite spot, spending at least 4 weeks a year there
