Did you check below compartments for water??
hopefully its nothing serious, but my first thought would have been flooding

We are just kidding with you. :smt001

Try moving some weight to port and it should level out .

so i have checked all the compartments that i cam, (ie, engine and anchor locker) is it possible water can get in elswhere? ....still floating though...

Apologies. Sometimes I'm my best audience.

Do you have gear on board? If so, where is it stored? Is it listing while empty? Did you check all compartments/staorage areas for water?

Any other info you can provide will help us help you.

I just put the boat in the water, it is pretty much empty, even amounts of weight on each side...could the head amount for such a displacement? it has abit of water still for being winterized...anyone else with a 78 SRV?

What is you level of fuel and water? If you are full of one and empty of the other there could be a list... I pulled my generator out to work on it, and had a noticiable list... Usually it is gear, water and fuel that will cause the boat to list... If you have two fuel tanks and one has more fuel you will get a list...

What about the question someone posed if you slip your boat or trailer?

If you're that worried about it and you can't figure it out, I would have someone (mechanic or other) come to your slip and have a look. It may save you lots of grief in the future.

Is this boat new to you?

If not, did it always have this list (lean) or are you saying you have had this boat for years, have no items missing or added and now you have a list that you cannot explain?

A list is caused by uneven weight distribution. That alone is not serious. It could be natural with no issues other than the list itself.

A new list can be caused by a leak or worst case, a leak that is inside of the fiberglass hull or deck that is causing water to get in between the layers of your fiberglass or coring material and you can’t see it and this water causes rot and this rot could be very serious, so serious that the cost to repair the damage can exceed the boats value meaning the boat unsafe, junk and needs to be scrapped for parts.

Again, that is the worst case.

First things first. Is this boat new to you?
