I drive 100 miles round trip for work...3.85 a gallon here right nowAmen to that!... I have spent $700 on fuel the past two months... I drive 12 miles one way to work 5 days a week and twice a week to school that is it. It just sucks to know what proportion of my paycheck goes to fuel just to earn it...
according to our imperious leader high fuel prices are to BOOST the economy
will increase sales in alt fuel and electric cars and give people "incentive" to
move closer to work.
this doesn't help me because an F'ing Prius won't pull my boat and I refuse to live in the big city.
I call BS on this "incentive" plan

I just finalized plans for a 600+ mile round trip to Canada's lovely Princess Louisa inlet this summer..... I think my boat burns roughly a gallon per mile, ouch.
damn us freethinkersThere you go again! Can't you just follow the plan the "smart" leaders tell you to?
“Work for more government intervention and control of the business activities of the people. In this way the American people will accept Communism without knowing it.” - Joseph Stalin

ONLY IF YOU USED ITHow about that 440 6 bbl? That must suck a little gas???
So I have seen a lot of threads and discussion about the price of gas on CSR lately. I cautiously enter the discussion, given there are some pretty strong (and emotional) positions. I am curious to know where the general feeling of "being ripped off" comes from. The same opinions exist here in Canada. I am not taking a position...I just like facts and data!
