Hey hope you have a great time.

Just FWIW, the events vary greatly by location. Our local dealer is very fiscally conservative to the extreme. Basically, the local dealer owner wants Sea Ray boat owners to come to a spot, do a raft-up with other Sea Ray boats so he can take photos to send to the Sea Ray to get credit for having a Aquapalooza event. It’s so dire that the owners own son in law quite and came to work for the marina where we slip out boat.

Fireworks? Nope, it’s during the day on, gulp, Sunday afternoon. Live music? No. Pig roast? No, thats costs money. Events for the kids like those big inflatable jump houses or slides? No way. Actually, they have zero events for adults or kids. Just a raft-up so they can take pictures.

I ran the numbers. For us to boat to the location of the event it would cost us about $150 in gas, or, in other words, about $149 more then what the dealer is spending on the event.

I raft with other boats often. I don’t care what brand or even type the other boats are.

Meanwhile the marina where we slip our boat wants Sea Ray however they don’t have it. Their main line is Four Winn’s at this location. They have already had a welcome back party that was more for adults, an ice cream social that was for families, have two planned cruises, two other themed parties, a planned class for ‘suddenly in command’ for the admirals, held a USCG auxiliary free boat inspection last weekend, oh and have ‘bring your own’ campfire social meet and greets often. The place has taken on a real community feel.

I know this is not going to be popular here, at CSR, but the local dealer situation has us reconsidering the brand of our next boat. This very sight, CSR, is the #1 thing that is holding me to Sea Ray.

Wes ... sorry for the double post.

We had graduation parties to attend Saturday but we did get out Friday night and then Sunday all day. We were fortunate enough to find a place at the River Hills Marina for our boat this year and have been using it more than ever.

Lost reverse Sunday, made docking interesting.
