Lake Saint Clair Peeps

Yea, I am familiar with Pete's beautiful / restored Chris.

The Viking that Rich is talking about, I've seen the boat and it is AWESOME. He is docked right next to a 56 Neptunus named Diamond Girl. Boat boats are really, really nice.
We have a lot of good memories of AHC. For eight years we were a few slips down from Diamond Girl. Wonderful folks and "Sr" runs a great marina. We come back and visit occasionally. We will be in St. Clair this weekend.

Someone had their Sea Ray put yesterday. Idling past Poor Man's.

Anyone, go down to watch the Detroit Fireworks? My brother in law has gone a few times but he's on the Grosse Isle end so not as many crazy boaters.

Me? Nope. I'll be satisfied watching the Belle Maer /MacRay fireworks from the marina.

We have anchored out once in front of Belle Maer…… never again

Went down to Bayview by car. You can't see great from there, but you won't find me downtown with all the crazies, especially on my boat. Its a shame they don't let boats into Milliken anymore, it was a great view and we'd just spend the night in the harbor.

Same here. I'll probably be sitting by the sea wall in my golf cart with a cooler of beer.
Hey Joe, I will look for you.
Going to be over at MacRay on Monday, then heading to PIB on Tuesday morning and then back to MacRay on Friday for the airshow for the weekend.

Looking forward to it. I'm off starting tomorrow until Wednesday next week. We'll be at the marina everyday. I can help you shove off Tuesday morning. Are you going to be out on Mr. Mac where you were last year?

Yep, that is the plan, the slip on Mr. Mac. I expect we will be pulling in late morning on Monday the 4th. My wife and I are kind of early risers and I get anxious sitting around waiting to pull out, so I tend to pull out early and then do the first part of the cruise at slow speed (with coffee), then hit the hammers to finish the ride.

Is that just for the fireworks, or is that closed entirely? Or diid they move the "do not anchor" line farther north/east than it used to be? Used to be right at the "lighthouse" at Milliken, which, IMO, was still TOO FAR, as you have hundreds of thousands of people packed in less than 1200' from the barges on shore, yet they keep the boats well over 3000' away in the water (I think it's even farther on the downriver side!).

Fish flies (Mayflies for the rest of the world) are swarming, around Belle Maer anyway... Hundreds (probably more) all over the boat, dock, and all. A losing battle today.... They are just as annoying as stinkin' Florida lovebugs.

Keep'em over there at Belle Maer.
