You had a long day Wesley and took some great pictures. I saw a couple of calender possibles . It was worth staying up to see the pictures. It was good to see Off Road Dancer back in the water. The last time I saw her it was not pretty.

Thanks for posting.

Paul

Great pictures Wes. This was the most fun we have ever had with out SR. All I did was think about it last night. Great boats and many new friends.

Now I need to dig through mine and post up some pictures of Wes's SR. Wes, you have several pictures I want to make my wall paper. Great job.

Great photos. Glad to see some folks brought their dogs to get in on the fun. Did any brats or burgers go missing when the cook's back was turned?

Glad you guys had a great time. I understand Wesley had his boat in saltwater :).

Great pictures everybody. Not sure how good mine will be, I'm not the photographer in the family.

Wesley won't take First Born to Salt Water so we had to bring the salt water to First Born :)

My boat wouldn't look right amongst all that curved glass. Someday........

Nice raft up pictures! Looks like you guys had a great time!

Awesome photos guys! I heard some jokes about Wes's salt but wasn't aware of the salt brought for Wesley LOL.

We stayed on the hook at the falls last night and got home a while ago. (I promptly took a long nap). It was truly a pleasure seeing old friends and meeting new friends and we really enjoyed the time. I would like to see this happen again.

Wes you sure was busy with the camera and did a great job. I vote calendar status for the second raftup photo you took from the starboard bow view that was slightly closer in than the first one. There's so many good ones though.

Someone please photoshop all of our VHF antennas before Gary finds this thread..... and maybe photoshop a couple of shirts onto some of us guys too

Let's do this one again!

How come you folks put your stern, props and outdrives so close to the shore? Isn't anyone worries about damage to the running gear if it is sitting on the bottom?

Great pictures all, Lynn and I had a great time, and it was sure fun meeting everyone. I agree with Gerald we need to do this more often. We would like to extend an open invitation to visit us at Keowee any time.

Ringy Dinghy and Sweet Surrender chose that beach for us precisely because of its special properties... it's a sandy beach that drops off quickly right below the shoreline and provides the unique opportunity to back right up to it without grounding the outdrives and props.

I've cruised by it many times but never taken the trouble to stop there before. It is a perfect setup and now that they've shown it to me, is a place I'll stop and visit many times again.

I thought the same thing to start, but after rafting up I found out just how deep it was . Luckily nobody got a picture of me. Really neat Island, nice sandy beach that drops off FAST! about 5 feet from shore.

edit: Great reply Gerald, I was typing the same thing. My hop off my swim platform would have made you proud when I found out just how deep it was. I thought I could stand since the people already in the water only had water up to their knee..... Wrong it was over my head.:)

What's with all the angled antennas?

:lol::smt043:lol:
Somebody even said Gary would say something about the antennas. You can't see it, but my little 4 foot stainless steel antennas is straight up.

Crap. Too late. Now we're gonna end up throwing balls back and forth

Gary, I've already lost one antenna at a low bridge that also required fiberglas repair at the mount, and if you saw the clearance height of the covered slips that the larger Sundancers stay in at the marina, you'd see why their antennas are where they are. None of us had any trouble communicating between the marina to the island we were at all the way up to midlake near the waterfall, so I suppose the quick answer is that it is worth more to most of us to not break off antennas than it is to get another few miles coverage out to a portion of the lake that none of us were going to. :smt001 Whenever I next visit the ICW or other similar area I'll proudly stand it straight up

Same here guys, the secret location is out. We may even buy a tent so we can go back there and stay the night on the beach right next to our boat. What a great location!!
