Here is our 5 year old soaking up some sun, a month ago he wouldn't let go, let alone go waist deep by himself.

He has become so relaxed and confident, I was pulling him around with the dinghy.

That is what it is all about, kids growing up with memories of fun...

We didn't go out today, but yesterday after catching our limit on scallops, we went out to a sand bar and then we had the kids tubing. Our five year old daughter always wants to go faster, faster... Our son is 8 and he is a nut on the water also.

Nice pics!

We had the exact experience with our six year old this season, would not go by himself, now he won't let anyone go with him.

Unfortunately in our area, the sea nettles have settled in over the last few weeks and I think our swimming season is done...

Kids and water-

Our attemp to desolve our kids in water has failed us. With a pool at home and the boat in the marina they are always wet!

The probel they keep growing!

The wife is just glad the swim goggles have come off for school!

Awesome pictures. We too had a great labor day weekend on the boat.

Gogstad, you mentioned those sea nettles. Aren't they clearing out about now? I'm south of you near the Potomac, but this past weekend, they were there, but sparse. I think by this weekend they will be completely gone and we can get back to a month or two of water fun. They usually totally disappear within a two week period....yea!
