Keep Track of Rising Prices

“The Biden administration continues to struggle to explain the president’s decision to end the Keystone XL pipeline project, his effort to shut down drilling permitting on federal land, and his decision to suspend drilling leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.”

“I know the news about what’s happening can seem alarming,” he(Biden)said. “But I want you to know that we are going to be okay.”

“okay”. I think the economy is in trouble. Not “just a little bit” either.

local station is at 4.38 now. up from 4.19 yesterday

Why is everyone panicking? Marina/dock prices should not be going up, yet, unless they have taken on fuel recently. Right?

Gas increased 26 cents today. $4.25. Indianapolis.

Not sure where you are at but the marina I’m at in WI doesn’t sit on much fuel when they are closed for winter—from a business model why should they have that money tied up in COGS during winter anyway? Again this is just one example in my little corner of the world.

He shut it down on Day One.

Revoking, revising, or replacing additional Executive Orders, Presidential Proclamations, Memoranda, and Permits signed over the past 4 years that do not serve the U.S. national interest, including revoking the Presidential permit granted to the Keystone XL pipeline.

That’s pretty myopic. It’s not just marina prices. It’s fuel prices at the gas pumps for daily drivers, truckers, you know, guys that transport food to stores. It’s fuel prices for farming equipment, you know , farmers, ranchers, people who grow our food.

Not just the fuel prices at marinas where fat rich white guys congregate and over drink.

Present company excluded of course I’m sure.

You calling me a drunk white? ;)

Good points, you took my post a little too seriously.

This is the same as 2008. Traders are "predicting $200/barrel oil". They are buying contracts now hoping to sell at a profit a month from now. I have the same stance now as I did then: If you buy a contract, you have to take delivery of the oil before you can sell it. That would end the speculation and stop the artificial inflation of oil prices.

If they don’t have to look at it, it doesn’t exist. There are a bunch of smug idiots working from home since the plague, believing they are virtuous because they don’t use much fuel, getting their daily Amazon deliveries via trucks and jets…

He didn't want to do that, but once it was clear that Congress was going to take the decision out of his hands he couldn't wait to announce it. The hand up his ass running his mouth said so. Then he is going to Texas to encourage domestic oil production....Oh wait, we are going to have 0 emission buses now according to Camel Toe and Mama Pete. Biden is going to talk about the very relevant topic of Iraq burn pits.

And don't get me wrong, the effects of the burn pits are disturbing and I am not trying to minimize that.
