Biden told reporters at the White House that they haven't been able to "properly explain the supply chain very well" while adding, "I'm not being critical. I'm being deadly earnest. This is a confusing time".

Enbridge has been trying for more then ten years to get approval to replace the line 5 lying on the lake bottom with an underground bored tunnel to protect the pipe. The legislature had to get involved in 2018 to approve the plan because so many idiots were opposed and stalling it. Now 2021 and they are still trying to get final approval.

They all are worried of a 60 year old pair of lines leaking but wont get out of the way to prevent it.
Common sense solutions are not allowed the only acceptable solution is to shut it down.
 
My son was working for a company called Michel's Corporation and they were working on the Enbridge pipeline in ND. He was in Williston for about 6 months while they ran pipe under a big river there (think it was the Missouri River?) back about winter of 2019. He was a safety coordinator for them but left a few months ago for another company closer to home. He said they were warned to stay away from the indian reservations due to their opposition to it and he also had to train the workers on how to handle any protestors they saw. I don't think they ever had protestors out there but he said they did at one of the sites they were at.

I thought she was out in the north woods somewhere already.
 
Bought K1 Kerosene today for my torpedo heater. $4.59/gallon. Diesel was 3.99. I had always thought diesel was more than kerosene due to taxes?

Nah, you're in upside down world...
Just a heads up... I stopped using K1 and started using diesel in torpedo heaters. For whatever reason I find it burns cleaner. K1 gave me head aches sometimes. I know K1 is supposed to be better, but...
 
All us SS recipients are getting a COLA raise soon, but the cost of Medicare is being increased to eat a chunk of it up. Maybe they should have figured that into the COLA.

Yeah I have never bought diesel and haven't bought K1 in a few years. I had assumed the K1 would be cheaper since it isn't taxed as heavily (or so I assumed). Guess I'll just buy the diesel from now on...lol

K1 is usually more expensive. I think it's because it's more refined. People forget that there's no road tax on it either so it's alot more expensive like you're seeing...
I'm about to fill my F350 with the gold nectar called diesel. $3.38 is as cheap as it gets around here.
