Jet plane taking off on a conveyor belt.

“C'mon Timeflys, if yer gonna ride in this canoe, you gotta help paddle.”
This might stir the debate……

So …. If we strapped a Honda generator on the wing…would it takeoff?

Well, of course it would take off, the problem is, that the fumes from that Honda will kill everyone onboard.

Since we seem to have solved that question, here is a mind bender for you.

If an aircraft carrier is on a river flowing 150knts does it need catapults to launch aircraft?
We will need to know whether the carrier is traveling upstream or downstream, its' SOG and its' direction of travel in relation to any relevant wind, along with the speed of said wind. Then the big question ,are we launching an F22, an SR71, or a B52?

Ok, I'll jump in on this one. A man holding a flash light is standing on a flatbed train car and the train is moving 80 mph. If the man turns on the flash light and points it in the same direction as the train is moving, how fast is the light traveling when it leaves the flashlight?
