It's time for a............REPEAT!!!

In a previous post I said I wanted to paint Old Skool green and gold. Forget that, I can't find a paper bag big enough to cover her up. Got to hand it to Denver though. After the butt kicking in the SB, they proved a worthy opponent tonight IMO.

Can't believe Detroit is at the top of the NFC north leader board. Minnesota went flat after per-season.

Just a little reality check here: For eight straight years, the defending champ has either not made the playoffs or hasn’t gotten past its first playoff game.

This is the total playoff victories of the eight Super Bowl champions the following year:

With all respect to Yogi's, "It ain't over till it's over", my old post sure looks good.

An upset locker room, half pissed because of Harvin and the other half pissed because he was shipped to the Jets. Losing to the Cowboys and Rams, wow!!! It is tough to be the target of the entire league, the other coaches, given enough time, will always figure out how to stop the new flavor du jour. It is also difficult to not listen to the press clippings like the ones suggesting we just give them the Lombardi after thrashing Green Bay in the first game. That is what is happening to the Sea boys...

Now the Niners have a huge fight in the game tonight. A little nervous about this one, especially with so many injuries.

The Rams gave em a fight for a half...I don't think the Broncos will have that problem....I love watching that whiner Harbaugh lose. :smt038

Today's game wasn't a game at all. The first half looked like a high school team showed up and stole the Seahawk uniforms. The second half was better but it still looked like they left the BOOM in Seattle.

We lost the game because of the play were the Rams fumbled....twice....the Seahawks recovered, and they gave the ball back to the Rams. I don't blame Pete Carroll for being pi$$ed. Both Rams fumbles were obviously fumbles, but because they called it not a fumble, there was no way to challenge the call. It happened in the past two minutes where normally all turnovers are automatically reviewed, but there was "no turnover" so not able to be reviewed.

This team ain't like last year's team, that's for sure.

nawww........they lost the game because their special teams weren't so special......I mean c'mon...faked out on a punt and going to the wrong side for the catch???

priceless

Ahem. So much for the streak. Some cheese to go with your whine my friend.
GB won but they played that high school team from NC so no big deal.

The NFC West is not looking quite as tough as their pre-season press clippings would have had one thinking...

Go Colts!!!

The Broncos are a much better team than the 49ers at this point. It does suck having 2nd and 3rd string defensive players starting the game but it would not have mattered last night.

That was a pretty cool play...two punt receivers, one waving his arms like he's calling for a fair catch, then falling down, kickoff special teams swarming over him with glee in their eyes, only to find out that they were all fooled.

I'd never seen that one before but enjoyed watching it. I gotta give the Rams credit for coming up with a great play.

We see a lot of lackadaisical play on kickoffs and punts in football on the part of the officials and players. The arm movements of the Ram decoy were not a valid fair catch signal but the defense treated it as such because the NFL rarely makes a player fully extend the arm on routine plays. From the NFL rule book.

Article 2
Item 1: Valid Fair-Catch Signal. A fair-catch signal is valid if it is made while the kick is in flight by a player who fully
extends one arm above his helmet and waves it from side to side. A receiver is permitted to legally raise his hand(s)
to his helmet to shield his eyes from the sun, but is not permitted to raise them above his helmet except to signal for a
fair catch.
Item 2: Invalid Fair-Catch Signal. If a player raises his hand(s) above his shoulder(s) in any other manner, it is an
invalid fair-catch signal. If there is an invalid fair-catch signal, the ball is dead when caught or recovered by any player
of the receiving team, but it is not a fair catch. (The ball is not dead if it touches an opponent before or after it strikes
the ground. See Article 3b).
