It's not a Searay but.....

Looks like a Wellcraft 45' Excalibur. Very nice looking boats. Don't know a lot about them.

Ouch,
He will also probably have to have the props straightened back out.
I think they might have gotten dinged up a wee bit! :)

He needs to let out some more chain. That short scope wont hold if the wind picks up.

I was thinking the same thing!!! LOL!

The scope doesn't matter. He has the wrong anchor for that bottom......

So, the hauler did not have the anchor secured, I don't see a stern strap any of the photos, and there is neither a bow stop on the trailer or eye on the boat, further the trailer looks very similar to what I use for the 270, in other words, grossly overloaded.

WOW!!! What an idiot. Probably trying to save a few bucks and DIY without proper training and equipment...

The trailer for my 280 was much more robustly constructed that what I see in use here. Surely that trailer had to be the 'wrong' one for this job.

I guess that's one of the questions is the trailer adequate - it's triple axle, the boat appears to be a Wellcraft Excalibur 38' with a beam of 10'-8" and 13,200lbs. As another poster mentioned there appears to be no tie downs to the trailer and the trailer frame appears to be straight. The article mentioned a two car wreck and jack knife so just maybe the jersey barrier shoved it off he trailer as it as not secured properly and creating more rash than holes?
