Is it just me??

I see it too.

What cracks me up is when people jump on the throttles AS they pass a no wake bouy. The "zone" is a circle, not a line!

What disappoints me is the entire monkey-see, monkey-do thing. My crew, unfortunately, asks why I do things like "slow down in advance of no wake zones"; "Don't let anyone ride on the foredeck"; Why I always explain to newcomers the location of life jackets; don't run my boat onto the beach like jet-skis, don't anchor within 10' of the next boat, etc. etc. etc.

My current favorite is people rafting or anchoring in the channel. That one I'll never understand - they are putting themselves at risk, as well as causing problems for everyone else.

Hi Bill!!

Hope you all are doing well! I know exactly what you mean. I would stay at 6 knots well past that no wake marker just to give traffic a smooth pass into the bridge.

Some folks just have a bad day so hopefully the 280 was just a mistake.

That no wake marker used to be out at the end of the day markers I don't know who or how it got moved in, but I think it's way too close to the bridge.

AKBassking and GFC may be on to something - maybe there's too much radiation coming down the Columbia from Hanford? During the Chinook runs, the fisher"persons" raft up hoglines 10, 20 30 boats deep and well into the channel. We can hear the freighters blast warnings all the way up at our house, which is at least three miles. I did a Power Squadron course a few years ago for my boater card - 15 out of the 20 people in the class were court directed - for not giving way in the channel.

Then last weekend we had this idiot:

Holy cow, how can you do that and not be drunk? The passengers were laughing when people were injured? WTF? At least nobody was killed.
