I have already installed a new Glomex 9112AGCU antenna on the radar arch of my 340 Sundancer. I have also connected the new AGC unit in the cabin. See pic attached.
It is interesting to note that the coax cable in the radar arch, for the Glomex, is white. When I installed the new Auto Gain Control, the cable is black (see antenna in line).
That tells me that, somewhere between the radar arch and the control located in the cabin, the white and black lines were spliced/connected together (for whatever reason).
It seems easy enough to follow the white cable thru/down the radar arch, However, once the cable begins to snakes thru the hull somewhere, I can't follow it.
So my question(s) is:
Does anyone know where this cable snakes thru, somewhere in/behind the hull, as it makes it's way into the cabin and eventually to the AGCU control?
Also, Has anyone had the same experience where the coax cable starts out as white and ends up as black? Is it spliced somewhere. intentionally?
Thanks
