I am restoring my boat that I picked up last year its a 1987 Sea Ray cuddy cabin 230
Engines
350 Chevy Mercury out drive
I am close to mounting my pulpit on my 87 Sea Ray. Can anyone suggest the best sealer to use on the area of the bow that the pulpit is going to mount on. I know there are quite a few out there just want to keep the water from entering my anchor locker but if I have to ever pull my pulpit off I do not want to have the area all gummed up. Thanks

I used 3M 4200UV when installing our new pulpit which has been working great.

Important note - Do NOT use 3M 5200 as you will not get it back off without damaging the fiberglass.
Unfortunately I did on our old pulpit. When getting ready to install our new one I had to prop it up with a 2x4 from the ground and slowly lower the trailer cutting at the 3M 5200 with a ling knife.
Finally got it off but a small area of the fiberglass in the center de-laminated, not fun. :smt013

I've used 3M 4200 in a few places. It's good stuff.
