I'm not sure what someone would charge you, but foam can get very pricey - and expect to pay full list price for the material, upwards of $20 a yard. I found a lady locally who does furniture upholstery. If it's for a boat, you're on your own, and have to bring her all the materials. So, up to yourautotrim.com, where 3" foam is $49.99 for a 3"x25"x106" piece. Bought 3 and some material at Joann Fabrics. All I gotta do now is just take her everything, and she'll go to work on it. If I pop all the staples out, mark all the old foamn pieces, etc., she'll do the whole thing for $250, with my materials. $350 if I just drop everything off. I suppose she doesn't wanna mess around popping a zillion staples out of the old stuff. I got lucky, but my point is if you call around your area, you might be able to find an upholsterer who'll do the same thing. I can't see a regular upholsterer charging you any more than $500-600 for everything.
