I'm looking to buy a good dinghy cover for a Highfield 9.6 Rib. My only knock against our Highfield is that it came with a crappy cover. I'm not looking to keep the cover on the dinghy while underway on the platform but would like something that has a good tie down system (bungee or Velcro). Any recommendations for something off the shelf?

Yes, I bought this last year, then had my canvas guy alter for my davits and saved hundreds of dollars !!!

Thanks! will check them out.

Just something to throw out there in regards to an optional way to secure the cover. If you ended up with having someone make the cover for you (or altering an off-the-shelf, but good fitting, cover), you could use a ratchet strap in the hem. A 1", nylon webbing strap with a stainless ratchet is the ONLY thing you'd need to secure the cover. And it would make the cover fit so tightly (and super easy to tighten down) that you could absolutely keep it on while underway and secured to the platform. Just a thought.

I like the price point on this one. Says on pretty well at the dock?

Yes, There is a shock cord around the "waist" that ties in the back and two straps that go under the hull at bow and stern. So far it has never blown off, but I did remove it during the hurricane that passed off nantucket last year just in case. It has been on in storms of 40-45kt gusts with no issues.

Order one from defender during their sale. Thanks!

I ordered mine from walker bay to fit our walker bay. It’s a nice fitting cover that hooks over the hard rubber rail around the dinghy.

I did a search on that site for the part number above and it came back not found.
I did the same and agree it comes up not found. Here is a screen shop of all of the Achilles covers and part numbers. I called my local dealer and they said it was correct.

Thanks for this link. Be great if the vendor had a picture of the actual cover. What material grade did you purchase and are you happy with it? The top grade seems a little too high for me.
