Hi all, I recently took my boat for warranty work to change the drive coupler so they had to haul out the motor and leg. In doing so, they discovered a small mussel in the water pump assembly so they said it had to be serviced and recommended that I change the impeller. I had it changed about a month ago using the marina guy who is much cheaper than the Mercury approved shops so that was kind of weird to be asked to change it again. The marina mechanic charged me for two hours labours. The shop had suggested to change it again since the motor and leg were out so I figured a 35 dollar part won't cost that much to install. Get this, they charged me for four hours labour at 120 per hour??? Is that reasonable given the motor and leg were out? Thanks for the advice.
