I find the eisenglass to be a PITA to take on and off and am thinking about getting a canvas that covers the windshield, cockpit, and aft (Greatlakes has it featured on their website http://www.greatlakesboattop.com/). I would probably hang on to the original canvas for the winter months.

Does anyone have any feedback on the cockpit cover relative to the OEM canvas? Thanks.

The cockpit cover was an option for your boat. I like it for the Summer time.

Seconded. It takes less than 10 minutes to get the cockpit cover on/off, and in the summer heat the last thing I want to be doing is running with the camper canvas up. I also don't have to worry about a thunderstorm blowing out my canvas when I'm not at the slip.

We just bought all new canvas for our 340 including a cockpit cover from Great Lakes. We are extremely happy... Saved $2K over all other quotes... Contact Kelly R, and ask for a CSR discount...

I purchased a cockpit cover from Great Lakes. There were great to work with. I use my cockpit cover during the summer months and full canvas during the winter. I agree with CJ - easy to put on and take off.

I have one for our boat. I find it to be a bigger PITA to deal with than the camper enclosure. You have to crawl out once you set the poles and you can't just walk on the boat when you get there.

It takes at least as much time to put it up if not more than the camper enclosure. Only time I use it is when we bring the camper enclosure home to clean.

Agreed. I see more full time camper top users in my home marina as well. This would be a good topic for a poll.

Lake Mead (Nevada) gets a little too hot in the summer time to leave a camper cover up. We average 113 -120 degrees through the end of September, with the night time temps in the mid to high 80s.
