Well... My wife just received postal mail (in the mailbox) from someone on CSR... On top of that, the member Arizona240DA has continued to harass me via PM's/email and even said he was going to stop by at Christmas, posted my physical address here on CSR (check all the deleted messages I had to delete in my profile), said he was mailing my physical address to other people, etc...

It's over. You win... you scared my wife... congratulations. Sending her a letter stating you've seen pictures of my house and you know where my kids go to school is over the top. The last line of the letter said "It might be wise to advice him cease from posting persoanl information as you never know what some people on the internet are capable of." (grammar mistakes included)

Sorry guys... Admiral says I am done with CSR.

Know all about it, been there and had it done to me.

My ex has been shadowing me here on CSR with the help of a member!
Even went as far as to come to the marina and look into my boat.
5 years post divorce.
Sometimes you have to cut your losses.

Please keep Jim updated on book.
I for one, definitely want a signed copy when it does come out.

Can we not ban Arizona 204DA??
That should be the first move available.

Sorry to hear this happened to your family. If he sent that in the US Mail, I believe it's a federal offense, but I'm no lawyer, you might want to look into it. I'm not sure what the rules are for cross state lines internet stalking/threats.

Sorry to hear you're leaving, but can understand why.

This is quite possibly a felony offense. Don't know all the details, however merely walking away from CSR is not going to quell your problems. There are ways to determine where the individual is stalking from and quite possibly their ID.

Call your Attorney General for starters.
 
Idiots. Ban the stalkers Jim. Playful or even some heated banter is one thing but that is over the top.
 
Gary, I used to dislike you and your posts, but I tolerated you. Then, I learned your style of humour and found some good in it. Next, I looked forward to what you had to say and learned a lot from you. Lately, I've considered you an online friend, though I never liked the way some suck up to you like subserviant puppies. Oh, this is supposed to be nice and supportive - sorry.

But seriously, don't go. No, don't do it, wait (sarastically written ala Willy Wonka when the snotty little kid was risking her life in his chocolate factory). But really, let's find a workable solution. The personality of this site would take a serious turn toward bordom at exactly the wrong time of year - well, wrong time of year for most of you : )

Gary, it would not be difficult for someone to determine my real world address and such either. If the same happened to me I also would put family first.

That being said, I will support Jim if this event causes some significant changes in CSR.
 
Giving the other guys a hard time is one thing. Terrorizing women is another. That some lines should never be crossed should be obvious.
 
This is unacceptable. I hope Jim gets to the bottom of this ASAP. Threatening someones wife is way over the line.

Well a lot of things come to my mind, low life, and other less enlightening terms.

Some people are just ignorant, and will always be so. Why anyone had to involve a members family in anything CSR related is beyond me.

There's law even against that bull**** on the web. Call you local PD and file a complaint just to be on the safe side. Need to document any harrassment, no matter how small it is. "cause, if this dude shows his face then defend your self.
 
Nothing much else to say here except for what has already been said. I support Gary in his decision 100%. I hope Jim does too and that he will do what he can....

In many states, you would first call 911 and report the threat to the police. Never know when the next one would escalate to physical violence.

Please feel free to add me to the "like to know list". It has been a pleasure and most of my meds are up to date.
