If you take vitamins/supplements - why?

Had my annual last week. During the initial review of meds/supplements the RN complemented me a taking 5000IU of D3 and 100MG of K2 daily. She made several comments about the benefits of D3 and one of them how it helps fight and cure cancer. First time I've ever heard a heath care professional acknowledge that. BTW I've been treated for prostate cancer since 2010 and have researched D3 for the past few years and agree with the RN.

When you have your annual request your D3 be checked as part of your blood draw. The RDA minimum is 30 ng/ml which is way too low. It should be 50 and up to 100 ng/ml. Mine is now at 73 and my PC says that is great. Had a pet scan last Tuesday and the cancer has not metastasized which took my urologist completely by surprise. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH PEOPLE.

I never knew there were two different types of vitamin D, D2 and D3, thanks for sharing this post.

I take 10000IU of d3 in winter and 5000 summer. Had a Dr tell me even 10 mins with your shirt off out side on a sunny day is very helpful especially in winter. People in the north are all mostly low on D.

There are studies showing that covid patients with d3 levels above 50ng/ml had 0 (zero) chance of dying from covid. It's all being covered up and the medical leaders in the US and Europe don't want to know. Too much money at stake.

Thanks for sharing your experience with supplements, particularly D3 and K2. It's great to hear that you've done your research and found benefits in them, especially in relation to cancer prevention and treatment. Taking charge of your health and advocating for regular D3 checks during annual check-ups is a smart move. It's true that the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for certain nutrients may not always be optimal for everyone, and it's essential to find the right levels that work for you. We did a job (Overall cost of project was 15 billion) for a large company in the north in the winter. The company offered without explanation vitamin D for free to all workers including contractor. You did not sign for it just took it if you wanted it. Did it do any good. No idea.

Here’s the thing about vitamins. When they work you dont really know. When they don’t you know real quick. Blindness, scurvy, ricketts, anal leakage. Not sure about the last one.

My Vit D got really low I was really achy all over. Turns out one of the side effects of taking prilosec for heartburn is lower Vit D. I started taking D3 and soon felt a lot better. More energy. I take it everyday in the winter. Summer don't need as much fake stuff.

I take GNC Mega Men vitamins because I'm pretty sure I don't get all the vitamins I need from my diet... plus the name has me sold, why not become a mega man.
