I like my Sea Ray because................

I love Sea Ray's because this boat has given me more trouble free boating this summer, than my previous boat gave me in 4 summers.

I love the Amberjack model because, as someone who prefers time on deck and a cabin just to crash in, it gives me the space and versatility of a much larger boat to hang out on.

Sea Ray, for me you got it right!!!!!

She sleeps 6 comfortably inside (8 inside and 4 safely outside in a pinch(none on the bow))
She has 2 stand up showers (and 2 heads)
We have never run out of hot water, even with our 2 teenagers and their friends
120 gallon fresh water capacity (see above)
She has a microwave, a decent size oven and 3 burner stove
She has a "full size" fridge
I can't hear the generator when on the hook (except for a little water splashing from the exhaust)
A/C will freeze you out when needed
She has a fly bridge
Except for running gear/engine maintenance, bottom paint and canvas, she's given me 3 years without a penny spent on repair

And she's paid for

We truly love our Sea Ray and the most priceless thing about her is that it has become something we all enjoy as a family, bringing us together without the distractions so often separating us during our daily routine at home.

I get to spend time with my family and friends! I love my current boats diesel engines and the styling of the sundancer line.

Love the whole Searay family, local dealer had a "Corn-Roast" Party this last week-end and we all just "had-to-go". That's the lifestyle marketing that SR has. We all got excited to check-out the new 43DA, and we all realized how much many of us liked our current boats when we heard the price tag!
We have had alot of SRays - Loved them all!

It's great family time, fun to work on, and a little less expensive than taking the family to Disney World every week of the year.

Happy to say that my wife and I will be taking our 9yr old daughter to Disney next month for a long weekend.

3 Nights + airfare and basic meals will set me back $2,500.

Excluding the slip fees, that $2,500 is more than my annual spend on the boat which would include insurance, gas, maintenance, parts, storage, winterization, etc.

But it buys only 3 friggin' days in the magical kingdom!

Slightly OT, but as 'Mr Green Balls' has stated, it's the depreciation that hurts in boating. I bet I lose more in depreciation each year than the variable costs and slip fees combined.:smt021

[FONT=&quot]The longer we own ours the more I realize the quality and thought that goes into a Sea Ray compared to the boats around us.

For example, a boating bud owns a Regal. Nice boat. System Alarm was going off and he asked me what to do. I told him to look on his systems monitor to see which system was sounding the alarm. What's that he said? He gets an alarm but has no idea what system is failing so he had to pay the mechanic to add some fluid to his drive reservoir.

Another boat in our group...outside fridge rusted out in a 2000 model. He pulled the fridge out, rust everywhere. Our outside icemaker is going strong after 13 years and does not have a bit of rust near it. Same boat anchored out with us recently. He had to run his genny 2 times a day to charge his house batteries, which were fairly new. Seems the manufacturer did not parallel them.

I like my Sea Ray(s) because (in rank order) 1) my dealer is truly outstanding, 2) Sea Ray stands behind their product, 3) SR has an outstanding dealer / support network, 4) SR builds a high quality boat and 4) most SR boats have wonderful designs and thoughtful architecture (esp servicability).

The common theme for why I like Sea Rays is the superlative service and support for my three and soon to be four Sea Ray boats, that is by far the single most important aspect of SR ownership. My dealer and the Sea Ray / Mercury organizations have NEVER let me down, not once, not ever, and you can't put a price on that!
