Man I hate squirrels. They got into my head and ate the wires to all the front lights. The cabin lights and Navigation lights. I dont know how the animal found them because I had a heck of a time finding them. Took 3 days to find the wires.

Couple years ago, mice somehow got in my dad's boat and hid inside life jacket.. the piss was on wall carpet.. Ughh the smell.. I helped him clean out the carpet to get rid of mice piss stained.

Tell me about it. I had one get into my garage last weekend. It ate the wire going to the stop sensor on my garage door opener - in 2 places. Gotta pick up some wire today to get it working again.

Rats with bushy tails.
Be careful with the mothballs, they work but you want to be sure and air that thing out before you get back in it again. We put out those big glue traps for rats in a couple places. Just make sure they are anchored well or on something hard that you can clean the glue off of in case they flip them or something.

I hate coons.

OMG Scott that is the funniest thing I’ve seen, I think I’ll try it this weekend.
I wonder how well it works on cats.

Scott - do you have one for the 'gulls? Hmmm, maybe a spring project in the future!!

You hate squirrels??? You must not be cooking them right, cause they are delicious.

Now thats funny, I don't care who you are! That was the solution to many problems in the past - kill it & eat it!

sfergson727 - whats the trigger mechanism? Do they chew/eat something that releases it?

On our dock we have otter and bat problems...

Scott,
That was hilarious. I actually laughed for 5 minutes straight!:smt043

LOL I am still laughing. I will start construction this week. I tried the whole Shooting thing with a Skunk problem I had however, here in Colorado or at least the Denver area they frown a poun the shooting of critters well at least with a 45Cal. LOL Lessons learned. Now the removal or eviction of said Critters I cant see how I can get in trouble unless one hits someone. LOL i will kepp you posted

or if you end up firing the 'space rat' through somebody's window ...

This has nothing to do with boats but I wish I could find something like this to get rid of the moles in my yard but being underground makes it challenging!

yeah, my dad had a 80 chris craft catalina.. we had year round resident geese that would crap all over his boat no sooner then he'd clean it. So he snapped and was chasing these geese around his creek in a 9 ft dingy with a merc 6 hp. swatin' at 'em with an oar. we figured they no longer migrated so they were just water rats that needed exterminating. well the DNR in Maryland had other thoughts. lol

I wonder if I could get this to work on a mother in law??? The possibilities!!

When I was in college we used two street lamps on either side of a stairway to launch water balloons about 100 yards to the entrance of the dining hall! We were launching them so far, that by the time the people walked to where we were, we had removed the contraption and erased all visible proof! We even had marks in the street that we used for consistent launches with the funnel! Just pull the funnel back to the appropriate mark in the street, load the ballon and let 'er rip!

I don't have any trouble with the grey squirrels but red ones are destructive so I shoot them. Back when I used to bowhunt I'd scare off pesty bears by shooting them with blunts. A good stinger in the ribs teaches them. It's kinda hard to discourage the smaller animals without killing them.

Tree Rat Recipe

Dip in egg, roll in Fry Magic, brown in a skillett with butter for 5 minutes, cover under low heat for 40 minutes, cook until meat pulls away from the bone, uncover the last 5 minutes for a crispier critter. They kinda taste like chicken...
