I'm waiting for him to get back to me. I know they have a lot going on right now. He's been through hell the last two years. The dive shop in which his kitesurf shop is located blew up a couple of years ago - with him inside. There have been some medical issues as well. GET WELL, RUSH!

"OMG" John, I just read the original post. Man, Our prayers are with you and Rush right now.

I was gonna b!tch about my transmission drama but F!!k, we b!itch about our boats while not even realizing how precious and important, Life is:smt089.

I had a lot a death over the past 2 weeks. My Very Best Friend's (Troy) cousin dropped dead, massive heart attack Sunday before last, 40 year old Fireman (Captain), Very Best Friend's (Troy) Grandmother passed this past Friday, Mother of colleague passed away the day after she made her OWN funeral arrangements this week, My Mother in law's two neighbors on each side of her had death in their families, My Mailman for my business recently diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Any hoot, we're praying for YOU, Brother:thumbsup:

My next door neighbor died last Summer (Retired Navy Captain), and one of my best windsurfing buddies died of a stroke just a couple of months ago - out of nowhere.
 
Yeah, this has been a helluva year for us too. First my Mother, a few weeks later my buddie's wife who performed my wedding ceremony, we spread her ashes and went to Vegas for my birthday in May and my buddy had to fly home early since his father-in-law had a stroke (passed away 3 days later), my sister was told she has stage 4 brain cancer last month and I put my dog to sleep 2 weeks ago. There are still 4 1/2 months left in the year!

Much appreciated, really. I am so blessed that we were able to start boating, it is such a great stress reliever I love it. I also was able to perform proper spreading of the ashes ceremonies instead of paying some servive that drops them wherever.

I now have the exact spot for when it's my Dad's time (hopefully years from now). We will bring him to the same place my Mom is so they can be together again!

Sorry for getting too deep, a little melancholy right now...
 
Sorry to hear about this Ken, and your right, something like this leaves you feeling violated. No matter how small the intrusion. Out of curiosity, what part of the Bay area do you live? R
