How was your Fourth?

Well lets see. Boat on the trailer all but 8 hours since Wednesday. Camper will have to be pressure washed from the inside out. Wind rain money. All done the drain.

First trip to DC in 2 years. Family and friends on the hook in the shadow of the Washington Monument. Really nice, but short, fireworks show. Stayed the night, then enjoyed a nice 35 mile ride back to our marina to pick up MORE family and the jet ski. Spent the rest of the day with the kids skiing, wake boarding and tubing. A couple other friends rafted up with us for a few hours. An amazing cookout followed by a nice slow sunset cruise on glass waters back to the marina. Really nice couple days. Sorta makes working the rest of the weekend worth it.

Sorry, all. We had a great time watching the fireworks in DC. Rented a great slip. Had great company. Over all, just a great, great great time. :smt038

Weather was crap. Haven't been to the boat in a week. 4th 5th and 6th totally rained out. Now the Tennessee River is nearing flood stage. Nice.

LOL I was wondering who all was anchored out there. Saw a large raft up. Wife and I joked that the folks rafted there had a better view of the fireworks then the folk at the concert on the mall!! Saw that on TV looked like a great place to view the show.

Well, the weather was great after the 100 + crap stopped. Mid 90's Friday through Sunday with just a breeze. Lots of time spent in the water, fireworks were great (best I have see at this location) and the boat was great. we had about 15 boats at one location Wednesday through Friday then 13 or 14 at another location Friday thrpough Sunday. We did have this big boy cruise by us and we spoke to them about joining our club. What a sweet looking 60!

Watched the fireworks from the boat at Caseville Mi on the 5th - Great weather - Probably 100 boats in the area. I waited about 1/2 hour after they were done to come in, Damn it was dark - Cloudy. I am glad I had the GPS - I couldn't believe how many idiots didn't have an anchor light on. A pontoon about 100' from me had a guy heading in towards him (no anchor light) I lit him up with a spotlight and the guy went around him. Other than that, Had a awesome time.

We had a great 4th anchored just west of 6th street in Annapolis. stayed there from Wed. night until Fri morn. and motored up to Dobbin island and stayed there until Sat. afternoon and came in to have a day, Sun, to clean up the boat. All ran well and the weekend was a blast. Great Fire works, but a bit short lived.

On the hook in Block Island 7/3-7/7 cloudy the first couple of days but beautiful fri/sat/sun - no place I'd rather be on the 4th...

Overcast and periods of rain on the 4th in Guntersville. Still got on the boat and skis alot. Headed up river to see the fireworks at Goose Pond marina in a light drizzle. Heading back home, my spotlight showed a green bouy on the left when it should have been on the right! That always is a shocker!

Rain all Friday and Saturday, but Sunday was gorgeous and burned up a bunch of gas with friends recovering from cabin fever.
