How to properly park, your trailered Bayliner.

"My boat is better than yours"

"My political party is better than yours"
"My stance on abortion is better than yours"

Doo-da...doo-da.....:smt101

I think we are just having a little fun! The best vehicle is the one that you can afford, that fits YOUR needs and doesn't take up space at the dealers garage......

Like those Ford 6. Slow PSD's......lol

I guess I'll stir the pot some more... Can you put a generator in that truck?? :)
Well, actually, yes! I have installed a couple Onan Quiet Diesels in the bed of two duallies...lol This is to power the fifth wheel travel trailer. Worked pretty good!

Hey... that's my boat you're talking about there! It was a harsh winter, what can I say... the ground shifted... the tarp blew off... a tire lost air... the sun was in my eyes...

Here she is after liberal use of Magic Eraser... :smt001

I owned 2 ford trucks, one is 1987 f-250 and other is 1994 f-150. 1994 have over 217k miles that i drive daily, and 1987 was my father's and it has 110k miles and i used it once in a while for heavy work like towing. I will never ever own a chevy. Let me ask you question, why do we always see many 80s and 90s fords everywhere on the road but rarely seen 80s chevy?? oh that right, they are resting in junkyard waiting to be rot away and crushed. LOL Chevy = Bayliner.. Crap. Ford = Sea Ray... Quality!

Edit- more proof why ford is superior, big company like verizon, pseg, uhaul, township vechiles, etc use ford trucks. They know ford will last longer than chevy

vehicles are a waste of money. IMO spending extra money like modifying doors on vehicle is a real waste!

Ya Know, that's the same damn thing I told HIM. But, it WAS HIS money. I think we all know the youths of today, they ALL want INSTANT GRATIFICATION.:smt021

at least he didn't spend 10k upgrading a POS car!

Naw, I have to admit, he DID do a nice job with customizing HIS truck. We all know, that we all did this same type of Sh!t when we were young, trying to be cool:wink:

He's got a sound system in that thing that'll rattle your cabin windows and 8 train horns that'll make anyone sh!t their pants within a 1/2 mile:grin:

If you want to pull--get a Dodge Ram diesel. Mine's a 2009 6.7 3500HD Dually pulling a 2000 340 Sundancer on a 4 axle trailer. Trailer and boat =16,000#. I have friends driving 5.9s for a logging company, that have 250,000mis. on them. Lots of Rams in N. Idaho--they outnumber Fords and Chevys.

Blasphemy I say!!!

Actually, I avoid the 'this vs. that' emotional arguments. Inevitably, some Escalade owner will tell me my Chevy is the Chevy of trucks...:smt101

A bit off topic.
What about towing (my) 280DA with BMW X5 ? (3,0 Diesel 3,0liter inline 6 cylinder 245HP 540NM)
My boat's dry weight -never had a chance to weight- I guess 4150-4200 kg.(3856 kg base model with 496Mag + KAD300 + bow thruster + radar + gps + autopilot + fishfinder + A/C + anchor/chain+tv and some personal stuff except dinghy and motor.)
Is it possible with this vehicle while 4-5 people in it?
American cars are not common in my country because of high engine displacement and gas consumption. People tend to buy BMW-Audi-VW jeeps/suvs.
Best regars.

I have seen a couple 20-22' boats being launched at the ramp with similar vehicles, but it looked like a struggle. I have a 1/2 ton 4x4 truck and towing my 24' cruiser is fine but I don't think I would want to tow anything bigger with it. If it was me I would find an older 3/4 ton truck just for towing my boat.

As stated, you can move it, but it will not be safe. It is a load for my truck and I have mine set up for towing.

I have owned all types of trucks, S10's, 2500 HD's, Ranger's 250 Ford's, Dodge full size vans, deisels and gas. Even owned a Scout II with a 345 in it. They all have their + and - factors.

Right now I'm driving what I can a-Ford with fuel prices the way they are.:wow:

In NC it's a bagde of honor to pull another brand of truck out of a stick with yours. I have had guy's say to me" I'd be glad to pull your Ford out with my Chevy". They don't even want money afterwards. Just sign a document saying it accually happened.:lol:
