Hello, I have not had my 44 Sundancer long enough to know how to get cable tv below deck while docked and plugged into the marinas cable? I get it on the cockpit tv but when I go through all the inputs on the other tv's it never comes up? I'm hoping this is a simple fix or a switch I'm missing? any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!Jason

Thanks yes I've connected it from the jack in the boat by the power cords to the marinas cable, and get cable on the cockpit tv, just not down below.

ok that you have CATV in the cockpit and not downstairs doesn't make sense since all the tv on the boat go through the gain control.

Not sure were it is on the 44. but either under the main salon TV, or in the area were the stereo and/or the DSS (Sat TV) receiver is you will find a square imput devioce with a round knob. this is the gain control for the Glomex over the air antenna. Turn this counter clockwise all the way to the left until it clicks. In that position, this device take the inbound signals from the shore cable TV connection (CATV wire from shore to hook up in transom locker). Turn it clockwise and you will see you have a range to set the gain for the Glomex (never seen those things get a clear signal but hey).

If this dosn't work, then the previous owner may have gone behind that panel and disconnected it for whatever reason he chose. On my 48DA the glomex never worked (I had analog tuners) and I only had 1 Sat Direct TV receiver. I pulled the gain control out disconnected the glomex coaxal, and install a RFI coxal cable from the Direct tv receiver into it's location, so when I turned the gain clockwise all the tv's got the direct tv channel the salon tv was receiving. All the Tv had to watch the same thing, but I was on baord alone most of the time and it worked for me. hmm come to think of it, I traded the 48Da in and never changed it back.

If your '08 is like my '05 then the glomex is in the overhead cabinet above the couch on the side panel of the cabinet interior.

If that's not the issue then you need to check the the splitter which you'll find behind the switch panel in the corner. This is easy to do by removing the cabinet door and unscrewing the two screws at the very top corners. The whole thing will the swivel forward on the bottom hinge and the access will be excellent.

Once in there you'll see a splitter with all you TV wires connected to it. I'd move a couple connects around and see if the signal goes to other TV's. If so then you have something going on with that splitter. If not then I have no clue

Disclaimer (before Frank throws me under the bus): I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination. This is just the trial and error approach I'd take to isolate where the problem is.
