Well, we received a letter today saying it'll be 5 to 6 weeks before we have power. Personally I think that's absolute BS and that not enough effort is being put in by our marina to restore power and services. Other marinas have managed to reconnect their customers.
So this officially means that 2015 is a 100% write off for us. Not a single day or night on the boat. Makes me sick.

Close friend has a boat at Highport (think that's what it is called). Have been following the trials and tribulations through him, there are a lot of frustrated boaters on that lake this summer. I feel your pain.
He has started to get on the boat some, but no power to the dock. He mentioned there is only one place on the lake that has fuel.
Hang in there - good news is - the fall season is still pleasant boating. Not in the water, but at least on the water.

As of yesterday WE HAVE POWER!!!
Yes, it's later than almost every other marina on the lake but I'm still grateful to get at least ONE weekend on the boat for 2015.
I'll find out on Thursday evening how many of my 7 $400 a piece batteries are still ok. I already know 2 are fried and will be hauling those heavy SOB's up there when I go.

Glad you're back up and running! I took the SeaDoos down to your marina before the level really went down, looked good as far as condition, but there was still flooding. Hopefully you enjoy the weekend, looks like it going to be nice!
We are having a band on our dock to celebrate, haven't seen many of my friends in a while, looking forward to it!
