This will be our fifth season on this boat.

4 years for Old Skool. Many more before that on previous boats. I can't think of one reason I would sell it. If I buy bigger I'll keep OS for the memories.

And she's to cool to let her go...

6th season on Teachers Pet III.. 280 for the two mof us has been working out just fine and it is the largerst boat you can dock stern in at our boat club so for the moment here we are. Would like a bigger boat but not willing to take the hit on our current boat. besides I just added Hurley marine trim tab lights, can't wait to try them out !!!

This will be our second season with the 280DA. Our 7th season with the 175BR. Though the smaller one won't be around for long, it'll be going up for sale within a week or two.

This is a great poll, very informative results!

Let's see...had our Doral 24 Monticello for 1 year, moved to the Thompson Santacruz 3100 in 04 and still have it. BUT, it's for sale as we purchased the 370 this February.

5 yr cycles on last 3 boats but i do have the process down pat...i'm ready in 3 but it takes me 2 more to wear the wife down. And she knows/admits it. Going on 3 this summer so its about time to go to work to stay on pace.

We've had our current boat for 5 yrs, the same length of time we owned our last boat. My pattern is to spend lots of money getting my boat just perfect, then get bored of it, and trade it for another boat that ends up being my next project. Let's just say, I'm trying to break that cycle!

Had our 340 for 5 years, Now our 40 6 months. Agree with dpvandy, Glad to be out of the market.

4th season with the current boat, had the 330 9 years, 290 5 years, 220 3 years

5 years. Starting my 6th season with 2 new motors and the addition of a counter rotating drive. Changed all gauges except the tachs (were already changed) and synch gauge (looking for one to match). Upgraded the GPS and installed a new VHF last season.
Hoping to get many more seasons out of the old girl.
Thought about moving up or going newer, but figured that this is all the boat I need right now to do the things I want to do and it is in really nice shape so I'm sticking with it for a while.
New motors and other upgrades cost me a lot less than it would have cost to go bigger or newer and I know what I have.

Well, since 1979, I am now on my 5th boat. 1st one had 3 years, upgrade from a 16 to a 17, had that one until 1986, bought a newer 17 foot. 1989 I bought a brand new boat. 198 Sunbird which I kept until 2002. That was the only boat I bought new. Each of the other boats were project boats and used it to trade up to newer and/or bigger. In 2002, I bought my first Sea Ray 260 Sundancer. Guess what, it was a project boat. I sold my 198 for $5,300 and bought the 260 for $4,500. about $1,000 and 7 years later, I bought the current boat for $15K. It needed some work as you can see by my project page, but not a lot. This will be my retirement boat. I am done.

We have had ours since 1982. It was 6 months old when we bought it. Just started a complete restoration on our 260.

We bought last June after being boatless for a few months while we searched for a good 340. What we can't get over is how many solicitations we are receiving in the mail, in this economy, from yacht brokers asking to list it...on the grounds they have a 340 shortage...who knew? However, we do know, anyone can sell anything if they practically give it away:)

ive only had my 390 for just under 2 years, but i did have my 250 for 11 years........for what thats worth

Still have my 1987 Fish & Ski, bought brand new. It's still in great shape, still used for fishing, and still used for pulling kids & grandkids around on the Super Mable. August will begin our 7th year with the 290. Bought her in 2005.

This will be our 9th season with the 280, I always want something bigger, but when it comes down to it, for our season here, it really is a great boat.
