How far do you drive ?

If its on the hoist i've got like a 30 foot walk. If its on the trailer i usually go to the next lake over where the launch is like 1/4 mile from the end of the street.

Last weekend i drove about 160 miles to northeast indiana to hang out on my buddies boat. I'll have to say, after hanging out on lake james and all the lakes connecting to it, i may have to take my boat out there a few more times this summer.

15 minutes to the marina...nice with young kids!

:thumbsup:1/2mile.I could roll out of bed roll down hill and land on my boat:smt043I did it today-tomarrow I'LL get dressed first:wow:

From work: 3 miles (Keep boat at AF Base Marina)
From home: 15 miles
From wife's work: 10 miles

35-40 minute drive to the marina for us. Kinda like a mini vaca. We would not trade it for anything.

To the local Lake: 32 miles each way, 45 minutes usually 10-12 times a summer

To the ramp in the river: about 4 miles each way, 10 minutes usually 2-3 times per summer

To Lake Erie: 245 Miles one way, 4.5 hours each way, once a year (stay for a week)

Worth every minute of the listening to the kids ask if we are there yet every ten minutes.

1.75 miles to the private town ramp. Never crowded, and from the time I hook the boat up to the truck to the time we are ripping down the lake it is exactly 10 minutes.

A little less than 1 hr from the time we leave the house until we're on the water.

Less than a quarter of a mile from cottage to launch site.

18.7 miles, mostly highway. Takes about 20-25 minutes depending on the 10 traffic signals along the way.

I could have put the boat closer to the house, but our marina has a very short no wake zone (consisting of the marina itself, and "the cut" by Pleasure Island) and is in a very central location.

That's a nice set-up.

For us it depends on where our destination is.
Our boat is in it's own garage(on a trailer) 5 mins from home. I'll go retrieve the boat and come home and pack it.
If we are heading on a South Puget Sound destination we'll trailer to Shilshole marina 1 hour south.
To Lake Washington we trailer to Ballard typically, which is a few miles from Shilshole but on the lake side, also an hour from home.
For a Central Puget sound and a more local trip we'll launch at Everett, which is 15-20 minutes away from home. We use this one in the winter spring for quick day runs or when we have other stuff going on in the weekend and want/need to get home quickly.

This time of year when we are heading up the the SanJuan Islands we use the Swinomish Slough launch. I buy a yearly pass for $75. It's great. 1 hour North of Home, we're now on the doorstep of the San Juan islands or a quick run to the Canadian Gulf islands. The pass pays for itself in 3 weekends.

150 miles, 2.5 hour drive almost every weekend April-November. We could put it closer, about 1 hour away on a lake, but it's hard to beat the scenery and amenities of the upper Mississippi River.
