Just got back from a boat ride with friends :) Beautiful sunset and over a two hour period we saw maybe 3 fishing boats. One of those hours was cruising down the Tennessee River and back. I guess everyone was scared off by the scattered showers. Hope you are in the water soon.
The little fellow in the picture above & his dad are spending the night on the boat (at our dock). Going to watch movies & play cards. Just got a call to take down some clean clothes...they just had a little bedtime swim. On the downside, we are thinking about going down to our house next week (Mexico Beach Florida). They are predicting the oil will be there Wednesday :-(

Had dinner on the boat and a two hour ride. Light rain which finally quit. No boaters out on the lake. Just finished a quiet evening on the patio. Off to bed. Going boating tomorrow.

Sitting at Catalina tonight. Good trip over with nice weather (typical June gloom in the morning) Captain Morgan fixed that problem!!!!

I'm online looking at recent posts and thinking -
"Where does Heather get all that energy".............
I have a few more projects around the house and hope to work on the boat Sunday - unlike you I have to sleep.
Boat is looking good tho Heather you are doing a great job and setting a great example....:smt038
PS
Looks like that deck of yours is the right height to work on your boat - above waterline.

Well I do sleep,,,,,, Just not this time of year. LOL
Hey, I got one side of a 27' boat 600 sanded tonight. If I can do this 3 more times I got it licked!

Me & my brother were doing something similar, ie maintenance. Drove down to the boat (the 260DA) after work. Had a few bourbons and cigars. Next morning we cleaned, washed, waxed, flushed the fresh water system (water heater now leaks), then hauled her out for new bellows, etc. First time on the trailer in 3 years.

Um, you work there right?

Heather, I'm willing to take that chance. :smt001. So you can work on my boat.

It actually looks good with the side windows gone. I am assuming the cabin is a bit dark now though.

Great job and Best of luck with your splash !!!!!!!

Heather,

Glad you had a good run today! I have an 86 268 that is cream and burgandy. I started sanding with 1200 wet sand paper today and I'm not happy with the results. I'm having to sand the same area two or three times before I'm happy with cutting threw the white oxidation. I'm sanding it like crazy and I'm afraid of harming the gelcoat. The boat is heavily oxidized from years and years of the sun.

Any suggestions on how I should go about restoring my boat to the original color? I do not want to hurt the gelcoat. Also, I need some suggestions on a good wax that I do not have to strip every year/

Thanks for your help!
