how do i get of pigeons from my boat

Sometimes a fake Owl will work. Move it around from time to time so they don't get used to it. Works on some - not all.

I've used them with varying degrees of success. The little flying duck wind mills will also help - movement and noise.

"Hot Foot" the really stubborn ones - http://www.hotfoot.com/bird-repellant-store/pc/FOUR-PACK-OF-HOT-FOOT-REPELLENT-GEL-p2.htm

Kinda a last resort - a few runs of monofil stretched over flyways will slow them down too. but over time they adapt to just about anything.

You just have to keep changing tactics.

We had birds build nests under walkways on large oil tanks. I tried fake owls. It worked for a few weeks. Noise maker that sound like want eat them seems to work but your neighbours might not like it. I have seen some boats with wind driven propeller 6 feet in dia. that rotate in the wind. That keeps them off in that area.

Sprinkle bird seed on your neighbors' docks.

I've seen rubber snakes

I've seen fire and I've seen rain. I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end......... Sorry I couldn't resist.

I use one of these. It takes awhile but eventually the flock thins then disappears. Plus, it's a lot of fun.

If the not feeding them approach fails, I would opt for the lead poisoning option as suggested above. Of course, a "special meal" could always be prepared for them. Sort of a last supper.

It's called Rolaids. They eat it, fly away and drop out of the sky like a rock.

I'm sure that some of the above posts fall into the "just kidding" category, but be careful with whatever approach you take. Local laws probably frown pretty harshly upon anything even remotely cruel.

Talk to your slip neighbors & marina management. I'll bet they will offer the best advice for your particular area.

Really? I never heard of that one. At my first marina I used old CD's on thread.

Our marina has hired a guy who comes in about monthly to shoot them with a pellet gun. He's state approved for that.

I provide a similar service but don't charge the marina. I'm always amazed at how many pigeons try to swim but drown in the process. Stoopid birds.

A friend of mine uses cheap strings or shiney garland with little stars on it.He wraps it around the bow rails and it seems to work ,his neighbors boat is a lot dirtier now though.

I put two rubber snakes on my cockpit cover and 2-holographic wind socks...no birds nor poop whatsoever.
