So the other half is always expressing how she does not like the hour and a half drive that we have to the boat

... I tell her that its not that bad its a mini vacation every weekend and we are far enough from home people dont bother us but if there is an emergency we can get back... So my question is how long is your drive to the boat?

OK.. To the guys that have the boat in the back yard I guess how far is the walk... LOL "yes I'm jealous"

Google maps says its 6 minutes from my house to the marina.

It takes me about 3 1/2 hours from the house to the marina. 30 min to airport, 1 hour flight plus time in airport, and 40 min to marina on the other side.

7 minutes if the lights don't cooperate. About 4 if they do. The other marina around here that I'd consider is about 15 minutes, and that feels waaaaaay too far.

I have tried 4 different ways but they all end up around 25 minutes to get to downtown Long Beach marina. However, the drive offers a choice of either driving through "the hood" or taking the freeway. The hood tends to be more interesting but the wife prefers the ostensibly safer freeway route.

House to boat...30 minutes...on way home from work ..10 minutes off highway.......thus..ALWAYS STOP ON WAY HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

30 minutes to an almost an hour, depending on LA traffic. When I lived in Oraange County it was 10 to 12 minutes. I miss that...it was much easier to run down to the boat on a whim.

One hour from home and one hour from work. If I go to the marina from work it is one hour to the boat and then another hour home. But, it's worth it.

20 Minutes from home. Work is 25-35 minutes from home, only problem the 2 are in completely different directions. So work to the boat is about 50 minutes.

Though with 3G, a smartphone, a laptop and gotomypc.......why am I going to the landbased office?!!!!

16 miles to the 300DA. 542 miles to the 175 Sport (just made that return drive yesterday).

[FONT=Tahoma, Calibri, Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif]11 minutes, unless 50 people decide to take a left off Westland. Then, a half hour.

LOL. If everyone else only knew about Westland.

Having a smaller boat this year we can go to these places now. :smt038

Oneida Lake, 22 minutes

Delta Dam, 35 minutes

Hinckley Reservoir, 1 hr

Lake Moraine, 40 minutes
